Relax!

During this busy Christmas season, here are a couple of my favorite relaxation tips.

1. Listen to classical music. Research shows that 30 minutes of classical music has the same effects as 10 mg of Valium. Turn on some classics in the evening during your nighttime routine or as you drive around town.

2. Drink black tea. Research also shows that people who drank black tea during a stressful six-week period stated they felt more calm and showed lower levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) than those who were given a placebo with the same amount of caffeine.

3. Don’t forget to breathe and relax your shoulders. Sometimes, we are not aware how much tension we carry in our neck and shoulders until we take a moment to relax and breathe for a moment.

Blessings on you as you enjoy drinking your black tea while breathing in the sweet smell of the season with some classical music wafting through the air.
