Amy S. Orlovich
MA, LCPC
Waters Gone By Counseling offers a teamwork approach to counseling where the therapist works with you to determine the best goals and modes of reaching them.
Healing from the past; hope for the future.
Amy is a graduate of Liberty University with a Master’s of Arts in Professional Counseling (MA) and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Idaho. She has worked in a variety of settings with a wide-array of clients including couples (pre-marriage & marriage), teens, college students, and parent-child dynamics as well as individuals struggling with grief, anger, and depression. For the past 20 years, she has been privileged to work with adolescents and their families through the organization of Young Life. Amy has received specialized training in adolescent issues.
She takes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach in counseling to help clients create a greater understanding of their thought processes in order to allow them to move out of the past and look forward to the future. Through counseling, individuals have the opportunity to understand themselves better, as well as those around them, while making a positive change in their life. No two people are exactly alike, so her approach to counseling is individualized and client specific, and she will work with you to help you achieve your desired success.
Currently, Amy is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Christian Counseling Association (ACCA), the Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association (IMHCA), and EMDRIA. She is trained and certified in EMDR.
