Sitting in Poop

Sometimes life is very dirty and you sit in poop. In a day and age where everyone tries to look like they have everything together, it is difficult to admit that at times we sit in it. Sitting in poop is recognizing that things are hard and it is okay to not have the answer or motivation at that time to change the circumstance. We walk with friends, kids and spouses through tough situations wanting to encourage them and tell them “it will be okay” and miss the importance of sitting with them in that difficult place and being quiet. Sitting there quietly holding their hand and saying, “no matter the circumstance, I am here with you.” Don’t always be so quick to clean up and move on. Sometimes we just need to sit in poop, whether it is our own or someone else’s.
